Run Tests

APIJockey TEST provides two types of Test runs, depending on the edition

instant Test runs, available for all editions
Persisted Test run executions, (not in the Community Edition)

Instant test runs

This test type is on all four test definition hierarchies available, plus any Value Providers

Test executions

This functionality is not available in the Community Edition.

Test executions can be started from the repository level and perform basically the same test operations as an instant test run. The basic difference is that the test execution results are persisted and can be accessed at any point in time. This gives a great opportunity to get back to previous runs and compare requests and responses as much as Datatransfer Value Provider results or Random ValueProvider results. conceptual overview testexecution

When you select a test execution, you will see the list of testcase executions and test steps execution, drilled down to each individual ValueProvider output value.
